Former Congress candidate giving Tom Brady a significant role in government urged Rob Gronkowski to run for president.
One of the most anticipated stories in the NFL world is Rob Gronkowski’s return. Everyone is anticipating the day when the illustrious tight end makes his retirement announcement. With a tweet that was incredibly cryptic this week, Gronk convinced his followers and the NFL community that the time had finally come.
When a potential reunion with Tom Brady materialized on Thursday, Gronkowski attracted some attention. After falling below 500 once more this season, Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost their winning momentum.
Gronk has been traveling the world with his girlfriend and family since he won the Super Bowl in 2021 and hung up his cleats. And after tweeting, “I’m kind of bored,” he received some advice on how to pass the time.
In Virginia’s 10th District, Republican Congressman Brandon Michon made a unique suggestion. “Rob Gronkowski running for president in 2024” Just a thought, but it would occupy the free time. Michon responded to Gronk by tweeting, “Maybe Tom Brady as VP.”
The NFL world went into a frenzy after Gronkowski’s tweet, hoping the three-time champion would return to the field. And not just the Bucs’ supporters desired his return. Franchise owners all over the world want Gronk to ease their concerns. Denver first wanted Gronkowski to join the Broncos following Russell Wilson’s offensive and poor season. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE and the former New England Patriots were also supported by Miami and Raiders fans. Gronk, however, has consistently stated that he will only return for TB12 quarterback.
Unfortunately for NFL fans, it’s possible that the entire hype was a marketing ploy. Rob Gronkowski announced a significant tie-up and business deal with the sports betting company Fanduel the day after tweeting about his current state. Additionally, Gronk’s attention may have simply returned as a result of the entire cryptic tweet episode.
Brandon Michon’s plan might not have been the worst given that Tom Brady will have free agency starting the following year after his Buccaneers contract expires. Brady, however, has no retirement plans and will search for a new team if the Bucs do not sign him. Additionally, Rob Gronkowski now has the opportunity to dance with his favorite quarterback for the Super Bowl’s final time.
